In today’s episode of uselessly gendered items - ear plugs for women. Because you can’t stick a piece of plastic in your ear unless it’s pink and the box has a flower on it.

Fun Fact
I’m autistic and sensory defensive, and spend a lot of money on earplugs. The pink ones are smaller and do not work as well. If you can friggin believe that.

Norwegian forest cats are the best.
They look like little snow lions.

MORE REASONS WHY NORWEGIAN FOREST CATS ARE THE BEST:
The colloquial term for them is “skogkatten”.
They’re also called “fairy cats” in Norway, because they’re so pretty.
They run down trees headfirst.
They’re fricking gigantic and they purr really loud.
They literally walk over snow like motherloving Legolas.
In Norse mythology, skogkatts pull the goddess Freya’s carriage.
Who doesn’t want a carriage pulled by cats?
Viking cats. End of story.

Oh what a terrible thing it appears that I haven’t reblogged these glorious beasts this year yet

THIS IS A NATURALLY OCCURRING METAL WHAT

metal as fuck

This is a pure bismuth crystal. The heaviest element that is not radioactive (ok technically it is but it’s half life is like 9 orders of magnitude older than the universe so it really doesn’t count.) Probably my favourite crystal structure, even if you forget the colour. Surprisingly, bismuth is also super-not-toxic. You can actually eat the stuff and it’s often in indigestion remedies. Fascinating element, all round.

always reblog bismuth
